Radials on the Ramp
Radials on the Ramp is a celebration of aviation history, community, and the unmistakable sound of vintage aircraft coming to life.
Hosted alongside our neighboring flight school, this special event will bring several large, loud radial-engine airplanes—including a vintage biplane—onto the ramp for the public to see up close. Guests can meet pilots and aviation professionals, take photos, learn more about the aircraft, and experience a side of aviation that is usually only seen from a distance.
Pilots are also invited to fly into KTOP and join us for the event. Those arriving by aircraft will receive a complimentary meal from Gate 36.
Whether you are a lifelong aviation enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable family outing, Radials on the Ramp is a rare opportunity to experience historic airplanes, great food, and the aviation community all in one place.

Wicked Wings: An Aircraft Trunk-or-Treat
Wicked Wings is Gate 36’s aviation-themed twist on a traditional trunk-or-treat. Instead of walking past rows of cars, families will explore decorated airplanes, meet local pilots and aviation professionals, collect candy, and enjoy an unforgettable Halloween experience right on the airport grounds.
Children are encouraged to wear their costumes, bring a treat bag, and get ready for an evening filled with airplanes, creative displays, photo opportunities, and plenty of Halloween fun. It is a chance for families to see aircraft up close while connecting with the people who help keep aviation thriving in Topeka.
Admission is free, and everyone is welcome.
Come for the candy, stay for the airplanes, and make Wicked Wings part of your family’s Halloween tradition.
